Our club has just kicked off its year with a Bruce James Hypnotist Show. In the month of October, we have two events planned. Or Annual Road Block, which funds our annual High School Scholarships, is scheduled for Saturday, October 10th. Out fourth annual Lions Club Coat Drive is scheduled for Saturday October 31st. We plan to distribute Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets to the Needy and continue our causes to help the unfortunate. The club will also participate in the annual Youth Speech Contests and Peace Poster Contests.
We are proud that our two time Past President, Mark Desmarais, will be Governor next year and we will do our best to have fundraisers to aid his cause. Mark has been the driving force behind the club's boom in membership over the past five years and is most deserving of this honor. A probable auction will be held in the winter or spring. More on this to come in the future.
